Refunds, warranties, and support for digital products

Know the difference between a delivery problem, a warranty claim, and a refund request before opening a case.

6 minute readReviewed 29 October 2026

A warranty is not the same as a refund period

A warranty states what help or replacement may be available when a delivered product stops working within a defined period. A refund policy states when the purchase price can be returned. A product can have a warranty while becoming non-refundable after a code or protected value has been revealed.

Read the product-specific terms before checkout. The general policy explains the store process, while the listing explains conditions tied to that product and delivery method.

Problems that should be reported immediately

Report an invalid delivery, a material mismatch with the listing, a duplicate charge, or a product that was already used before delivery as soon as it is discovered. Keep screenshots of the error and avoid changing account details until support has reviewed the case if those changes could affect diagnosis.

For an activation failure, provide the exact error wording, the time it occurred, the device or browser used, and the order reference. Do not attach the activation code, password, or recovery information.

Fair review of a claim

Support can compare the order, payment confirmation, delivery event, listing terms, and previous troubleshooting. A useful claim explains the expected result, the actual result, and the steps already tried. This is more reliable than opening several cases for the same order.

A refund may take additional processing time after approval because the payment provider and bank control the final settlement. The order should show when the refund was initiated and when it was confirmed.

Escalation and unresolved cases

If the first troubleshooting step does not solve the problem, reply in the same support case. Keeping one thread preserves the screenshots, references, and actions already taken. Difficult cases can be escalated for administrative review without asking the customer to repeat the complete history.

State whether access never worked, stopped later, or behaves differently on another device. That distinction helps support separate an invalid delivery from a compatibility problem or a service interruption.
